Dr. Anita Sadaty

Integrative Gynecologist, MD & Functional Medicine

Dr. Anita Sadaty is a Board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and founder of Redefining Health Medical, a women’s health medical practice in Roslyn, NY. She is an Attending Physician at the Northwell Health System and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Hofstra Medical School. She attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College graduating with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Society.  She completed her residency and role as Chief Resident at North Shore University Hospital, Northwell Health System in 1998.

History

Prior to starting her medical practice, Dr. Sadaty served as the chapter president of the American Women’s Medical Association at Cornell Medical School. She spent two years doing research at the Rockefeller University Department of Biochemistry and at Cornell University Medical College Department of Surgery. She is co-author on a research publication on diabetic wound healing published in the Journal of Surgical Research and presented a clinical research study regarding the relative effectiveness of various cervical ripening agents for labor induction at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology annual conference as well as the New York Obstetrical Society meeting.

Dr. Sadaty has broadened her medical training to include a highly integrative approach to patient care. Although her medical practice provides the complete array of traditional medical services, Dr. Sadaty combines her conventional medical training with a functional medicine approach, a philosophy of medical care that explores the “root cause” of symptoms and disease. This advance has allowed her to meet the needs of an emerging patient population that embraces a more whole-body medical approach to health and healing.

In 2014 she completed her training and certification at the Institution for Functional Medicine and is recognized as an IFM Certified Medical Practitioner. She has also completed 2 other mentorship programs with Dr. Dan Kalish at the Kalish Institute for functional medicine and was a founding member of the Kresser ADAPT Functional Medicine Training program.
