10 Ways To Boost Your Wellness Confidence

By MaryAnn Jones

You can build your wellness confidence, one step at a time.

I am sure you do not believe in unicorns so dispel the myth that flexing your confidence muscle will happen by magic.

1) Make a List of Your Strengths

Write down things you’re good at — big or small. Acknowledging your skills can help you believe in them.

Take a strength assessment quiz!

2) Try Something New

Explore a new interest or skill. Stepping into something new can uncover hidden joy and boost your self-efficacy. This can also enable you to connect with like-minded humans.

3) Keep a Compliment Journal

Bring awareness to the nice things people say about you. Record compliments you’ve received. On tough days, revisit them to remind yourself that others see the best in you.

4) Practice Makes Better

Act confident (not arrogant), even if you’re nervous. Over time, this mindset can help you truly feel more self-assured.

5) Respect Your Body

Exercise, hydrate, choose foods that love you back, and get enough sleep. Physical wellness supports mental confidence. A health coach can help you make self-care a habit.

6) Celebrate Wins

Acknowledge and celebrate every achievement without labeling it big or small. What would a celebration of your accomplishments look like? It can be as easy as giving yourself a high five.

7) You Either Win or You Learn

Let your mistakes provide opportunities to grow and improve. Mindset changes everything.

8) Spend Time With Supportive People

Identify and surround yourself with people who lift you up and encourage you.

9) Volunteer Your Time

Helping others can give you a sense of purpose and remind you of your abilities.

10) Action Creates Clarity

Get out of your head and act, move, do and thrive.
